BRIDGE_48 & Art Garage want to show you how art and music can be the perfect combination.
BRIDGE_48:
BRIDGE_48 is a hub in Barcelona for creators of the future of music. They want to merge music with other artistic disciplines in their unique space in Poblenou.
Art Garage:
We are on a mission to make art as popular as music. We want to give people easy access to art by turning art exhibitions into a memorable experience. Everyone can become an art collector.

The event
Discover the work of 4 different artists in Barcelona, all with their own unique style. The artists will be there so you can speak with them and learn more about their work.
2 upcoming musicians from the BRIDGE_48 community will hold a Back to Back Dj live session. Art + Music to elevate your senses.
Thinking about getting your first artwork? We can help you discover what kind of art you like and you’ll get to know yourself in the process.
Finding the right artwork feels like a crush, so keep your eyes (and heart) open.

The artists
Katharina Arndt
Katharina works between Berlin and Barcelona. She uses painting, drawing and neon letters to reflect contradictions of modern life: hyper-connection and isolation. Katharina works on artificial materials like PVC film, lacquer paper and plexiglass with glossy acrylic paint and touch-up pens. The characters in her work look almost childlike, and are often wearing sunglasses, looking at their smartphones and have mixed expressions of stress and happiness.

Joshua Perkin
Joshua grew up on a farm 150km from London and lives and works in Barcelona. His paintings are an abstraction of reality and show a universe created from visual references and imagination that the viewer can dive into. Joshua's work generates more questions than answers around the characters and landscapes in his work: who are the people there? How are they feeling? Where are they? All of us are invited to create our own story and interpretation of his paintings.
Yaroslava Umanets
Yaroslava sees painting as free therapy. In her work, she expresses emotions and stories with simplified shapes, letters and bright colors. Her artistic crush since she's a teenager has been Joan Miró, that's why she paints with black, white and primary colors. Besides him, Yaroslava is also inspired by Cubism, Expressionism, Illustration and Comics. She works in Barcelona and the hundreds of contemporary artists in the local scene are a huge inspiration as well.
Sophie Teh
Sophie is interested in depicting familiar forms in unusual ways in her paintings. She manipulates recognisable objects and patterns to explore how cultural conditioning and personal memories influence how we perceive and react to visual stimuli. Sophie’s work contains references from her earlier career in architecture and her South-East Asian Chinese background.
